How do I book for a group or family?

One booking covers your whole party — set the number of people, fill in a short profile for each person (name, age, level, special requirements), and pay once for everyone. The school sees every participant's details so they can place each person in the right lesson.

Quick answer

Set the Number of People in the booking flow, then fill in the Who's Attending step — a name for each person, plus optional age, level, and special requirements. You pay once for the whole group, and the school receives everyone's details.

How do I book for a group or family?

You don't need a separate booking for each person. One booking covers your whole party — a couple, a family with children, or a group of friends — with one payment and one confirmation email. The school receives a short profile for each person, so everyone ends up in a lesson that suits their level.

Step 1: start the booking as normal

Pick a school or instructor and tap Book. The flow is the same as booking a single lesson [blocked] — lesson type, date and time, about you — with one extra step once you say more than one person is coming.

Step 2: set the number of people

In the booking flow you'll find a Number of People counter with plus and minus buttons. Set it to the size of your party.

  • Each lesson has a maximum group size set by the school — the widget shows Max N per booking under the counter and won't let you go past it.
  • If your group is bigger than the limit, see the larger groups section below.

Step 3: fill in the Who's Attending step

As soon as your booking is for more than one person, a Who's Attending? step appears. For each person you can enter:

  1. Name — required for everyone. You can't continue until each person has a name.
  2. Age — optional, useful for children so the school can plan age-appropriate teaching.
  3. Experience level — tap the level that fits. Picking a level also pre-fills a sensible piste comfort selection.
  4. Piste comfort — which runs the person is comfortable on (you can adjust the pre-filled selection).
  5. Special requirements — free text, e.g. needs a helmet, or nervous on steeper slopes.

Two time-savers:

  • A Copy from button on each card copies Person 1's experience level and piste comfort to that person — handy when most of the group skis at the same level.
  • A note under special requirements explains that any health-related details you enter (injuries, disabilities, or medical conditions) are shared with the ski school for lesson planning, with a link to the privacy policy.

Step 4: add one set of contact details

The Contact step asks for one name, email, and phone number for the whole booking — that's you, the lead booker. The confirmation email, any changes, and all school correspondence go to this address. The other participants don't need accounts or email addresses.

Step 5: pay once for everyone

Payment works the same as any other booking — Pay now, Deposit (where the school offers it), or Request only — but the total covers the whole group in a single payment:

  • For lessons priced per person, the widget multiplies the price by your group size and shows the total for all of you.
  • Some lessons use a flat price for a group-size band (for example, one price for 1–4 people), in which case the price shown already covers your party.
  • Peak-week pricing, where the school uses it, applies to the whole booking.

There are no booking fees for skiers and learners, ever. See how payments are handled [blocked] for deposits and refunds.

Does everyone need an account?

No. Only the lead booker's contact details are needed, and even you can book as a guest. If you create an account later with the same email address, the booking is linked to it automatically — useful if you want to track the lesson from your dashboard afterwards.

Adding rental gear for the group

If the school offers equipment rental, you can add a rental package to the booking and pay for it in the same checkout as the lessons:

  • Rental package prices are per person per day, so the widget multiplies the daily price by the number of rental days and your group size.
  • The rental is created alongside the booking, so there's one payment and one confirmation covering both.
  • Prefer to sort gear on arrival? Schools that support it also offer a pay-at-pickup option.

Booking children as part of a family group

Children are just participants in the same booking:

  1. Include them in the Number of People count.
  2. On the Who's Attending? step, enter each child's name and age, and pick their experience level — first-timers included.
  3. Use Special requirements for anything the instructor should know in advance.

You stay the booking contact, so everything comes to you. Schools use the ages and levels you provide to place each child appropriately — a family booking doesn't mean everyone has to be in the same lesson if the school thinks a split works better.

How spots work for group classes

Scheduled group classes have a fixed number of places set by the school:

  • Each class card on the school's page shows the class name, date and times, and the price per person.
  • The page shows how many spots left each upcoming class has, and marks a class as Full when capacity is reached.
  • Some classes cap or close their waitlist — in that case a full class shows a note that the waitlist is also full, rather than a join form.
  • When a class is full, a Join Waitlist form appears instead. Add your name and email and you'll see your position in the queue — including a note when you're next in line.
  • If a place opens up, the school offers it to the front of the queue and you'll get an email asking you to confirm your spot. Confirm quickly — if you don't, the place can be offered to the next person.

Larger groups

If your party is bigger than a lesson's per-booking maximum, you have two options:

  • Use Request only at the payment step — the booking goes to the school as a request, and they'll come back to you to arrange the details before any payment.
  • Some schools accept group lesson requests directly from their page: you submit your preferred date and time, activity, experience level, group size, and age group, the school is notified straight away, and you receive an email when they match or respond to your request.

What the school sees

When your booking lands, the school's notification includes the group size and each participant's name, age, experience level, piste comfort, and special requirements — exactly what you entered. That's what lets them sort instructors and groups before you arrive, so it's worth filling the step in properly.

Tips for a smooth group booking

  • Be honest about levels. A flattering "intermediate" for a nervous first-timer puts them in the wrong lesson — the level and piste comfort fields exist so the school can group people who'll actually enjoy skiing together.
  • Use the copy button wisely. Copy from Person 1 is great for a group of friends at the same level, but skip it for mixed-ability families — set each person individually.
  • Put the practical stuff in special requirements. Helmet needed, recovering from a knee injury, anxious about chairlifts — anything the instructor should know on day one.
  • Book early for peak weeks. Group sizes are capped per booking and group classes have limited places, so half-term and New Year fill fast.

Changing the group after booking

Plans change — someone drops out, or you want to add a person. Numbers and participant details can't be edited from your dashboard after booking, so contact the school directly (their details are in your confirmation email), or see how to change or cancel a booking [blocked].
