Open a public Help Centre guide in ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity with a prepared request for step-by-step help. Copy the prompt if it does not appear automatically.
Quick answer
Open a guide and find Use your own AI assistant beside the article, or below it on a small screen. Choose Ask ChatGPT, Ask Claude, or Ask Perplexity. Only the public guide title, its link, and a prepared prompt are included; your account and conversations are not shared.
Each public Help Centre article has a Use your own AI assistant card. It sits beside the article on a wide screen and below the article on a small screen. It helps you take the relevant guide into an AI assistant you already use.
AI providers control their own sign-in and prompt handling. If the prompt does not appear, return to FASS, choose Copy prompt, and paste it into the new AI conversation. View or copy the prompt shows the full text. If automatic copying is unavailable, that text can be selected and copied manually. You can also paste it into another AI assistant.
The prompt asks the assistant to say if it cannot read the article and request the relevant section rather than guessing. You can then copy the part of the public guide you need help with.
The link contains only the public article title, its canonical FASS URL, and the prepared instructions. It does not include your FASS account details, booking records, private conversations, or API keys. Opening the article itself does not contact the external AI service.
Anything you add in the external AI conversation is handled by that provider. Leave out passwords, API keys, payment details, and other people's private information. If your problem involves private account records, you can open a support request through your FASS account instead.
FASS also offers its own Ask FASS live assistant when enabled. It can retrieve published role-appropriate Help Centre guides, offer supported navigation and preview a limited set of account, lesson-draft and booking-time changes with explicit confirmation. These live website permissions are separate from external AI and MCP connections. Older Ask AI follow-up controls in the Help Centre use their own help chat. The external links in this card do not automatically transfer your conversation to either FASS assistant.
Opening an AI link does not connect that assistant to your FASS account. Reading a public guide and changing an account are separate capabilities.
FASS offers a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server at https://findaskischool.com/mcp. A compatible AI client can use the public search tools after a separate connection. Supported school-management tools need a school-scoped API key with the permissions required for the task. Your normal website login is not an MCP connection, and not every AI client, account plan, or platform action supports MCP.
Read MCP setup and available tools before connecting. Configure credentials through the client's connection settings; do not paste keys into an AI conversation. The prepared prompt asks the assistant to explain proposed changes and get your approval before acting. You can still follow the website instructions yourself when a connection or suitable tool is unavailable.
