GPS tracking is OFF by default. You have to opt in before the tracker captures anything. All the privacy controls live in the GPS Privacy Settings section of your dashboard.
A single switch turns GPS tracking on or off. When off, no location data is captured, no sessions are recorded, and no waypoints are stored — even when the tracker is open on screen.
Your tracked sessions are kept for a set amount of time. The defaults are:
Retention is a one-time payment per upgrade, not a subscription. When your retention period expires, sessions older than the window are deleted automatically; you'll see a banner warning you before anything is removed so you can export or upgrade if you want to keep them.
Change your retention setting any time from GPS Privacy Settings.
A Delete all GPS data button wipes every session, waypoint, and heatmap contribution from your account in one action. It's permanent — once deleted, the data is gone and cannot be restored.
You can also delete individual sessions from your GPS Sessions list without affecting the rest.
By default, only you can see your tracked sessions. Sessions become visible to someone else only when you explicitly share them:
