Quick answer

AI credits pay for supported metered AI actions. Check your account’s AI Credits panel for balances and current action costs; not every AI interaction uses the same charging system.

What are AI credits and how do they work?

AI credits belong to your user account. Supported metered actions, such as lesson drafting, source extraction, FAQ writing, lesson images, and instructor-assignment assistance, deduct their listed cost. Check the action and credits panel before running it.

Three balances

Credits are spent in this order:

  1. Monthly allowance — unused allowance does not roll over; the next calendar month's allowance is applied when the account is refreshed or used.
  2. Welcome credits — a one-time 50-credit grant, initialised when the credit account is first created.
  3. Top-up credits — purchased packs and credits exchanged from reward points; these do not reset each month.

Current monthly allowances are 0 for unverified Starter, 25 for verified Starter, 75 for Independent Instructor, 100 for School, and 200 for Multi-School. Eligibility follows the effective school plan and current verification rules; having several schools does not add all their allowances together.

Top up and check history

Use AI Credits for the current pack sizes, prices, and recent ledger. You can also exchange reward points. Review a charge's action name and timestamp before asking support about a missing grant or unexpected deduction.

The website assistant uses your personal credit pool at the rates shown before starting, once configured by Admin: a successful voice connection charge, credits per started connected minute, and successful standalone text replies. Silence, mute and the idle grace period count; partial minutes are not prorated. Typed messages during an active voice call are covered by that call. The 50-credit welcome allowance is not 50 minutes. Do not assume another school owner pays because their dashboard is open.

A supported text question can show a provisional Draft reply. Deliberately choosing Stop reply after draft delivery uses one ordinary text request, without an extra charge; the discarded draft is not a completed answer. Provider/protocol failures and server deadlines use the failed-request refund/release rules. Progress and navigation reporting do not change the rates. See assistant allowances and credits.

Get help with this step in a dashboard setup plan or tour is separate from the live assistant: each successful explanation uses 1 AI credit; reading its linked guides is free. It requires your explicit question, AI consent and permitted workspace access, and does not perform account changes. See setup plans and step help.

Metering varies by feature. A subscription's AI allowance does not buy minutes on an unavailable Voice AI telephone service, and this guide does not promise that every chatbot question consumes credits.

When a metered tool has insufficient credits, top up or wait for an eligible allowance reset. Ordinary non-AI booking and messaging work does not depend on buying credits. Always review generated drafts and proposed operational changes before applying them.
