Quick answer

Open Availability in /instructor-dashboard. Use Weekly pattern for recurring hours, Daily overrides for school-specific dates, and Time off for blackouts; save each change.

How do I set my availability?

Open Availability. The page has Weekly pattern, Daily overrides, Time off, and Requests tabs.

Weekly pattern

Add working slots with a day, start time, end time, and optional note. Use separate non-overlapping slots if you need a break, such as morning and afternoon teaching. Save the schedule and wait for confirmation. This is your recurring pattern; it does not itself create lessons or bookings.

Daily overrides

Choose the relevant school and week, then edit the date's availability. Entries can be Available, Unavailable, or Tentative, with a time range and note. Saved intervals from another school may appear as read-only context. Dated availability is school-specific, so check which school you are editing.

Save your changes before moving on. If the page cannot load current availability, retry rather than overwriting it from memory.

Time off and connected calendars

Use Time off for blackout periods. Connected external calendars can contribute busy periods, but imported events depend on the connection and supported event formats. Review Calendar sync if an expected conflict is missing.

Booking and assignment checks consider conflicts, including other linked teaching work. An available slot is not a promise that every lesson will be bookable: school rules, lesson options, and payment setup also apply.

Existing bookings

Changing your hours does not cancel or move a student's confirmed lesson. Contact the school promptly and use the appropriate assignment, cover, or booking action. Check My bookings again after a change so you know which lessons still need you.
