Use Messages in your instructor dashboard for conversations addressed to your linked profiles, including parent threads. The school can also have oversight of these provider conversations.
Quick answer
Open /instructor-dashboard/messages, choose the conversation, check its school and participants, write your reply, and select Send. A reply is separate from confirming a booking or receiving payment.
Open Messages in your instructor dashboard. This inbox contains conversations addressed to instructor profiles linked to your signed-in account, including relevant parent conversations. It is different from talking to the FASS AI assistant.
Choose the conversation and check the learner, school, and participants before replying. Read the recent context, write the message, and select the send action. The composer supports formatting and a choice of Return-key behaviour; check that preference if Return is sending unexpectedly.
Use reply and saved-message tools to keep important instructions easy to follow. Marking a thread unread is a reminder; archiving moves it out of the ordinary inbox rather than deleting its history. Spam and report actions have their own controls.
If the conversation fails to refresh, replies are disabled until it loads successfully. Use the retry action instead of sending the same message from another account. If access has been removed, contact the school or Support.
The school can have oversight of the same provider-side conversation and may reply in it. Do not describe it as a private channel visible only to the named instructor. Participant and earlier-history access follow the conversation's permission controls.
Where lesson offers are available, review the selected lesson, dates, price, and conditions before sending one. The learner still needs to follow its acceptance or payment steps. An ordinary message or offer does not itself mean the booking is confirmed or paid.
Use the lesson-notes tools for teaching records and deliberately choose any sharing recipients. Only include children's details or photographs when needed and appropriately authorised.
