Quick answer

Open Calendar sync, generate a calendar link, and subscribe to that URL in your calendar app. It is a read-only booking feed; external calendar imports use a separate connection on the same page.

How do I subscribe to my bookings via iCal?

Open Calendar sync and use Generate Calendar Link to create your private booking-feed URL.

Add FASS bookings to a calendar

Copy the generated URL and choose your calendar app's Subscribe, Add by URL, or From Internet option. Use a subscription if you want later updates; downloading and importing an .ics file is a one-time snapshot.

The generated feed uses a URL such as /api/instructor-calendar/{token}.ics. Copy the real link from the dashboard instead of constructing it yourself. Event details come from the booking records available to that feed.

A subscription is read-only. Editing a copied event in another app does not change the FASS booking. Refresh timing is controlled by the calendar app and can be delayed; check My bookings for the current lesson details.

Keep the URL private

Anyone holding the tokenised link may be able to read the feed. Do not post it publicly or paste it into an AI help prompt. Regenerate the link if it is exposed, then update subscriptions using the new URL. Remove a subscription in the external app when you no longer need it.

Import busy time into FASS

The same page has separate Google Calendar and Subscribe to an iCal URL controls for bringing external busy events into availability checks. These are not the outgoing FASS booking feed.

The iCal import polls on a schedule and offers Sync now. Some formats, including recurring events and events with a timezone identifier, are not currently imported. Check the sync result and any skipped-event notice before relying on it to prevent a clash.
