# How do I enable school tools or find a missing feature?

Check the selected school, permissions, plan and School setup controls when a tool is missing. School capability switches are separate from an instructor's personal dashboard-module preferences.

## Quick answer

Select the right school and open School → School setup. Review the available switches and setup checklist. A platform-disabled or permission-restricted feature cannot be unlocked by changing a visibility preference.

## How do I enable school tools or find a missing feature?

First check the selected school in your dashboard. A setting belongs to that school; an **All schools** view is not a shared settings editor. If you use both a business and teaching workspace, check which one is open.

## Setup progress or capability switches?

**Getting started** is the persistent action plan for saved setup tasks. Open [/dashboard/getting-started](https://findaskischool.com/dashboard/getting-started) or select **View all steps** on Today. It does not replace the school capability switches described below. **Owner action needed**, **Awaiting review** and **Action needed first** explain why you cannot complete a step yet; they are not instructions to buy a plan or resubmit evidence blindly. ## School capabilities

Open **School → School setup**, or search for **School setup** in dashboard tool search. This page includes the setup launcher and available capability switches for equipment rentals, group requests, dynamic pricing, and satisfaction surveys. Each switch explains the tools it enables.

Changes save through the switch action. Wait for the saved confirmation and check any error before moving on. Turning on a capability may reveal its management screens, but you still need to configure the service. For example, enabling pricing tools does not by itself make ordinary checkout apply every dynamic rule.

Older guides may call this destination **Features**. The current school navigation label is **School setup**.

## Other reasons a tool is missing

-   Your account may lack the relevant school or staff permission. Ask the owner to review your access; a staff seat and instructor profile are different relationships.
-   A tool may depend on a paid plan, verification, completed setup, or existing activity. Read the explanation shown before buying or changing anything.
-   An instructor may have hidden a personal module in **Account → Dashboard modules**. That setting changes their own navigation, not school permissions or the underlying booking records.
-   GPS tracking and accident reporting are currently unavailable under the platform's feature settings. A school switch or module preference cannot enable them.
