How do I issue digital certificates to students?

Certificates record an achievement awarded by your school. Use the Issue certificate action available in the lesson-note or progress workflow; authorised owners and instructors can issue them for their school.

Before issuing

  1. Check the learner's name and account or email carefully.
  2. Choose Level completion, Course completion, Lesson series, or a custom achievement.
  3. Set the sport, title, description, and relevant level or resort.
  4. Review the details and choose whether to email the certificate.

Only award a level the learner has demonstrated. An achievement certificate is not a professional instructor qualification or an independent FASS assessment of the learner's skills.

Where it appears

Linked recipients can find certificates in My certificates [blocked]. Certificate emails and permitted account views can provide the PDF. A certificate number has a public verification page at /verify/{certificateNumber}; it exposes limited award details rather than an unrestricted download of the private file.

Treat the learner name and other information shown on public verification as part of the sharing decision. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in the title or description.

Correcting an error

Check the current certificate actions and contact Support [blocked] if a certificate was issued to the wrong person or needs correction. There is no general self-service revocation workflow to rely on in the current certificate router.
