## How do I message parents through the platform?

Open **Messages** in your school dashboard and choose the parent's conversation. The former **Parent Communications** portal has been retired into the shared messaging system.

## Keep the conversation useful

Use basic formatting for meeting instructions and preparation lists. Reply directly to a message when context matters, and save important messages so they are easy to find again. The composer lets you choose whether Return sends or starts a new line.

Use the conversation's participant controls to include another authorised person. Access to earlier messages follows the conversation's history-approval rules; joining does not automatically grant unrestricted access to previous private discussion.

## Lesson offers and AI assistance

Where the school offer action is available, select a lesson and review its details, price, dates, and conditions before sending. The learner reviews the offer and follows its acceptance or payment action. A chat message alone does not confirm payment.

AI-assisted offers can use permitted conversation and profile context only when the client has enabled that use for the conversation and has not disabled it in their profile. Review names, ages, ability, party size, and lesson details before sending anything.

## Progress and privacy

Record teaching notes in the lesson-notes or student-progress tools rather than treating ordinary chat as a formal progress assessment. Guardian access depends on the linked account and the relevant sharing permissions.

Only share children's information or photographs with the appropriate recipients and permissions. Do not assume a fixed automatic photo-deletion period or that every future instructor can read every previous note.

Use **Report** with a reason for abusive or inappropriate messages, and spam controls for unwanted contact. For an urgent issue during a lesson, use your school's direct contact procedure.
