Quick answer
Use School → Email for wording, branding, previews, test emails, and delivery analytics. Recipient preferences are separate, and administrators retain access to editable platform templates.
Open School → Email in the selected school workspace. Routine messages follow the relevant event: a paid booking confirmation, an unpaid lesson request, a reminder, cancellation or declined request, post-lesson follow-up, or a waitlist action. A request email is not proof of a confirmed paid booking.
Custom subject text is sent as written. Do not put template placeholders into a school override expecting every field to substitute them. A platform template may supply its own heading; inspect the preview for the selected message. A browser preview and a real email client can render differently.
Unsaved draft protection helps avoid accidental loss. If the screen says the saved settings changed elsewhere, load the latest version and review your changes before saving over it.
The email journey and analytics tools show the available message and delivery information, along with recorded opens or clicks where tracking applies. A recorded open is not proof that a person read every word: image blocking, privacy proxies, and link scanners affect these numbers.
Use the booking's communication history and message status to investigate an expected email. Check the recipient, request/payment state, timing, and preferences before resending. Do not assume every message uses the same retry or schedule rules.
Each account manages optional categories in Notifications / email settings, also linked from supported email footers. Essential security, account, and booking/service messages are treated separately from optional updates. Unsubscribing from an optional category does not promise to stop all operational messages.
School email settings control messages sent for the school; they are not your personal receiving preferences. Keep the school's monitored email current because supported customer replies use it.
Administrators can still edit managed template subjects and HTML, preview sample content, and send tests in Admin → Tools & settings → Email templates. Categories and search help locate a message. School branding and supported overrides are applied to those platform templates; a school does not edit every platform-wide message.
