Quick answer
Use the emergency-lock link in a new-device alert to revoke your account sessions and trusted devices and require a new password. It is an account recovery action, not a school-wide operations freeze.
If a new-device sign-in alert is not yours, use its emergency-lock link. Review the confirmation page before choosing Lock my account. The email link is single-use and expires after 24 hours.
FASS invalidates your existing sessions, removes trusted devices, and clears the password so a password reset is required. This applies to the account named by the alert; it does not freeze every colleague's account, cancel lessons, or suspend the school's Stripe account.
If the link is expired or invalid, use the password-reset flow and contact support. There is no school-dashboard panic button, keyboard shortcut, or separate password-plus-SMS unlock workflow.
