How do I connect my lessons to Google Calendar?

Connect a dedicated FASS lessons calendar where enabled, choose authorised family inclusion and manage one-way updates.

Quick answer

Open your learner Calendar and choose Connect Google Calendar where available. Authorise Google, review whether to include family, and use Sync now to refresh. Changes made in Google do not update FASS bookings.

How do I connect my lessons to Google Calendar?

Open My Calendar and find Google Calendar. Where available, choose Connect Google Calendar, sign in to the intended Google account and review Google's permission screen.

If the connection is unavailable, use Add to calendar or ICS download instead. An ordinary Google sign-in to FASS is separate from authorising calendar access.

Review the connection

FASS maintains a separate lessons calendar in Google. Check the Last successful sync and use Sync now when needed. The screen explains the current automatic update interval and date range. Reschedules and cancellations can update through sync, but refreshing is not instantaneous.

Choose Include authorised family lessons in Google only if you want those records included, then Save sync preference. Only lessons you are authorised to see are eligible. Check who can read that Google calendar before including family information.

Changes and disconnecting

Make booking changes in FASS. Editing or deleting a copied event in Google does not reschedule or cancel the booking.

Use Reconnect Google Calendar if permission is needed again. Use Disconnect and read the confirmation to stop syncing and remove the dedicated FASS calendar. If Google cannot remove it, the result tells you to remove it in Google yourself. Your other calendars and FASS bookings remain separate.
