Alpine skiing · Australian Professional Snowsport Instructors

What This Qualification Covers

  • The qualification combines advanced teaching and demonstrations with race and freeski assessment.
  • This is an Alpine instructor certification. An APSI trainer or examiner appointment and any international designation need separate evidence; Level 4 does not by itself establish an ISIA Card.

FASS country rules

These are the active qualification conditions configured on FASS. They do not confirm that a person has met them or has permission to teach. Local professional and immigration requirements still apply.

No active FASS rule is recorded for these qualifications. This does not establish permission to teach or lack of recognition.

Training and Progression

  • Course entry requires current membership, APSI-approved school employment, Alpine Level 3 or approved prior learning, and at least two full-time teaching seasons.
  • The route has two five-day courses, Teach & Demonstrations and Race & Freeski, plus a three-day full exam. Exam entry requires the relevant course for the components attempted, at least 150 teaching hours and 30 additional in-house training hours.

Check the awarding body's current syllabus for entry requirements, course dates, fees, and assessment rules.
