UKSS Level 1 Foundation qualification — 2-day course licensing you to teach beginners at UK ski centres.

Snowsport Scotland is the awarding body for all UK Snowsport qualifications (UKSS) and offers a full range of courses that will train, assess and license you to become a fully qualified instructor, performance coach or leader. Once fully completed, the UKSS Level 1 Foundation Ski Instructor qualification licenses you to teach beginners and early intermediates up to plough-parallel at UK ski centres. The qualification can also be used in Scottish mountain ski resorts, provided you complete an additional 1 day of mountain induction training. The UKSS Level 1 Foundation is a 2 day training course delivered by a Snowsport Scotland appointed Tutor. The course is a minimum of 14 hours in length and scheduled for 7 hours a day. At the end of your course you will receive a personal development plan (PDP) which provides a focussed framework for further personal and professional development towards your assessment.
