Trust through clarity

A badge should never make you guess what has actually been checked.

Find a Ski School labels a school's current verification status, an instructor's own approved application and affiliation with a verified school as three separate signals. Evidence-specific checks appear separately only when the platform stores evidence for that capability. Verification is a scoped platform status, not an endorsement or a guarantee of quality, safety, competence, legal permission to work, insurance cover or lesson outcome. Check any evidence that matters to your decision.

Featured is paid sponsored placement or a paid-plan benefit. Founding Member records participation in a limited commercial offer. Neither is verification, vetting, safety endorsement or editorial recommendation.

Find a Ski School is a directory and booking-software platform. The school or instructor shown as the provider delivers the lesson and remains responsible for quality, safeguarding and booking terms.

Badge glossary

Every badge, in one place.

Six labels can appear on a profile. Two describe a check we have made; four describe a commercial arrangement.

Verified
Find a Ski School labels a school's current verification status, an instructor's own approved application and affiliation with a verified school as three separate signals. Evidence-specific checks appear separately only when the platform stores evidence for that capability. Verification is a scoped platform status, not an endorsement or a guarantee of quality, safety, competence, legal permission to work, insurance cover or lesson outcome. Check any evidence that matters to your decision.
Certified
The word our Terms use for credential badges: the school has provided documentation supporting a claimed certification, such as a national instructor qualification or ISIA membership. It records the evidence supplied, not an endorsement by us.
Gold
A plan marker. A gold School badge shows the school is on the School plan or above. It is not a verification signal and says nothing about what has been checked.
Featured
Paid placement, or a benefit of a paid plan. It is not verification, vetting, a safety endorsement or an editorial recommendation.
Sponsored
The label on paid placement in search and directory results. Sponsored slots are always labelled, and payment never changes the organic or AI ordering beneath them.
Founding Member
Records participation in a limited commercial offer. Like Featured, it carries no verification or safety meaning.
Response time
How quickly a school or instructor usually answers a booking request or a learner's first message, averaged over the last 90 days. It appears only once they have answered at least five times. It measures how fast they reply, not how good the lesson is.
Frequently rebooked
Shown when a high share of a provider's learners have booked with them more than once, and there are enough repeat lessons for that share to mean something. It is counted from bookings made through FASS; lessons arranged elsewhere are not included.

How confidence is built

Each trust signal answers one specific question.

  • Profile verification

Find a Ski School labels a school's current verification status, an instructor's own approved application and affiliation with a verified school as three separate signals. Evidence-specific checks appear separately only when the platform stores evidence for that capability.

  • Review provenance

Reviews from lessons booked through the platform, and reviews a provider confirms took place outside it, are labelled separately. External ratings are shown with their source.

  • Policy visibility

Review the provider’s booking, cancellation and refund terms before payment.

  • Cross-border context

Qualifications and operating requirements differ by country and resort, and profiles show the context.

  • Direct communication

Ask the school or instructor when the lesson detail is not published, and keep the answer in writing.

  • Concern reporting

Report inaccurate listings, unsafe conduct, suspicious messages or review issues through the private route.

If something goes wrong

Use the route that matches the issue.

  1. 01

    Immediate danger

Contact local emergency or resort services first. No online form is monitored around the clock.

  2. 02

    Lesson or policy issue

Contact the provider responsible for the booking — they hold the contract and the lesson details.

  3. 03

    Platform or listing issue

Send the profile URL, the evidence and a clear description through the report route.

  4. 04

    Account or payment security

Contact support promptly and secure the relevant accounts.

Confidence at every step

The detail that removes uncertainty.

  • Sponsored means sponsored

Featured placement is paid promotion, not a safety check or editorial endorsement.

  • Status can change

Verification may be reviewed or removed when information is no longer current. An expired document pauses the badge until a replacement is approved; verification itself can also be reviewed or revoked.

  • Review policy

Suspected or disputed reviews follow a separate evidence-based process. Providers can respond to feedback but cannot remove it.

  • Human escalation

Sensitive concerns go to the safeguarding team alone and are reviewed by a person, who decides the platform response — which can include pausing a listing while a report is open. We do not pass a report to the school concerned without your permission, unless someone’s safety or the law requires it, and we do not share your identity unless you consent or disclosure is required for safety or by law.
