How do I manage my notifications?

You control how Find a Ski School contacts you. Everything is optional and off by default. Open your account settings and go to Notifications.

Three channels

• Email — booking confirmations, lesson reminders, instructor messages, weekly summaries. Each type has its own toggle, so you can have booking confirmations on but turn weekly summaries off.
• Push notifications — real-time alerts sent to your phone or computer. Requires granting browser permission the first time you subscribe. Good for time-sensitive things like a lesson reminder or a waitlist slot opening.
• In-app — notifications that show up in the bell icon at the top of the platform when you're signed in. Nothing leaves the site; they're just waiting for you when you next visit.

Nothing is on until you turn it on. We default to off because unwanted notifications are worse than no notifications.

What you can choose to be notified about

• Booking confirmations and updates — when a booking is confirmed or changed
• Lesson reminders — a day before and/or on the morning of each lesson
• Instructor messages — if a school or instructor sends you a message through the platform
• Review prompts — a gentle nudge to review an instructor after a lesson
• Waitlist updates — if a slot opens up on a lesson you're waiting for
• Weekly summaries — a weekly digest (for example, a summary of your GPS tracking activity if you use the tracker)

For school owners and instructors, there are additional toggles for dashboard events — new bookings, accident reports, cancellations, and so on.

Turning push notifications off

Push notifications depend on browser permissions. To stop receiving push notifications:

1. Turn off the push toggle in your account settings, or
2. Revoke browser permission from your browser's site settings for findaskischool.com

Turning off the toggle in your account stops Find a Ski School from sending push notifications; revoking browser permission is a belt-and-braces follow-up.

Email unsubscribe

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Transactional emails — booking confirmations, password resets, account security — are exempt, because you need those for the platform to work at all.
