Quick answer
Set a group class’s capacity, monitor its roster, and use its waitlist actions when full. Offering a place and marking a participant accepted are separate from payment and confirmation.
In Lessons → Group classes, set Max participants and, where available, Waitlist capacity. Check the class's roster and places remaining before accepting more learners.
The supported public group-class list can offer Join waitlist with contact details. A queue entry is a request for a future place, not a paid booking. A zero waitlist capacity disables the queue; an unlimited setting is different from zero.
Do not offer one place to several people at once or assume the notification has reserved capacity. Check current statuses instead of relying on a fixed automatic countdown. The separate date-based booking waitlist and programme enrolment queues have different rules.
Cancelled, confirmed, registered, and no-show states have different meanings. Inspect remaining capacity after moving or cancelling a participant, and review a manual add rather than relying on a red counter to stop every overbooking.
Auto-match suggestions can pair open group requests with classes that have room. Review dates, level, activity, language, party size, and whether the whole party fits before accepting. Accepting a suggestion is not evidence of a completed online payment.
For refunds, see cancellations and the waitlist.
