How do I track my skill level progress?

The Skill Level Progress tracker lives in your student dashboard (or directly at /levels). It shows you where you are on the nine-level Bronze–Silver–Gold framework, what you've achieved, and what's needed to reach the next stage.

How it updates

Most of the tracker updates automatically. When you take a lesson through the platform, your instructor can mark off the specific manoeuvres you covered and nailed — for example, parallel turns on red runs, short turns in moguls, or carving on ice. Each tick moves you closer to completing the current level.

You can also see the full detail of any level by tapping it — an expanded view shows every manoeuvre in that level, which ones you've completed, and which ones are still to go. See /ski-levels/{id} for the per-level detail view.

What a level looks like

Each of the nine levels has a clear set of manoeuvres — the skills you need to demonstrate before you move up. Levels build on each other:

• Bronze 1 — standing, sidestepping, the snowplough
• Bronze 3 — linked snowplough turns, basic parallel on green runs
• Silver 1 — parallel turns on blue runs, controlled stops
• Silver 3 — confident parallel on reds, short turns, riding chairlifts unaided
• Gold 1 — blacks, moguls, variable conditions
• Gold 3 — off-piste, steeps, advanced carving

Level celebrations

When you complete all the manoeuvres in a level, a short celebration animation plays the next time you open your dashboard. It's a small thing, but watching that progress bar fill is surprisingly motivating — especially when you can see exactly what you did to earn it.

Booking the next lesson

The same page carries a level calculator. Rate the eight skills it asks about and tap Find schools for your level — the Schools Directory opens with the level filter already set, so you only see schools that teach it. The assessment is what drives the filter, not the manoeuvres your instructors have ticked off, so it's worth answering honestly rather than aspirationally. The calculator gives a range rather than a single level when you leave questions unanswered or you haven't skied this season, and the filter uses the lower end of that range.
