Telemark skiing · Australian Professional Snowsport Instructors
What This Qualification Covers
- The course develops the skills needed to begin teaching telemark beginners, including safety, technical understanding, instruction theory and demonstrations.
- This is a telemark award. The intermediate skiing required for entry is a candidate prerequisite, rather than a statement that the award certifies advanced lessons.
FASS country rules
These are the active qualification conditions configured on FASS. They do not confirm that a person has met them or has permission to teach. Local professional and immigration requirements still apply.
No active FASS rule is recorded for these qualifications. This does not establish permission to teach or lack of recognition.
Training and Progression
- The published format is a two-day course and assessment. No previous teaching experience is required; candidates must be at least 15 and competent intermediate telemark skiers, able to link turns on blue runs.
- Successful assessment leads to the Level 1 certificate. Telemark Level 2 extends teaching through intermediate progressions.
