What This Qualification Covers

  • The stated course range covers beginner and intermediate telemark skiers up to short turns, with class handling, safety, analysis, demonstrations and steering-based technique.
  • The qualification is separate from APSI Alpine, Nordic and Snowboard awards, even where the level number matches.

FASS country rules

These are the active qualification conditions configured on FASS. They do not confirm that a person has met them or has permission to teach. Local professional and immigration requirements still apply.

No active FASS rule is recorded for these qualifications. This does not establish permission to teach or lack of recognition.

Training and Progression

  • The four-day course requires current membership, the current teaching manual and all Telemark Level 1 exam units, or APSI-approved recognition of prior learning.
  • The one-day exam assesses skiing, demonstrations and teaching; theory is delivered online in the preceding week. Exam entry requires completion of all Level 2 course units, current membership and the teaching manual.
