BASI Telemark Level 2

BASI Telemark Level 2 combines further technical and teaching assessment, including learner analysis, progression planning, and Telemark lesson delivery within a ski-school setting.

What This Qualification Covers

  • The course describes progressions from beginner to intermediate Telemark, with learner analysis, feedback, and group management. Advanced Telemark technique is also developed as the instructor's own performance.
  • BASI's award overview places Level 2 teaching under the responsibility of a snowsports school or club. Training on mountain terrain is not itself unrestricted independent practice or guiding permission.
  • This is a Telemark award. A numbered Alpine, snowboard, or cross-country qualification does not establish the same assessed teaching and technical results.

Training and Progression

  • Entry requires BASI Telemark Level 1. The published route has technical and teaching blocks, which may be booked separately for assessment or re-assessment.
  • A pass in one block is a component result rather than evidence that both have been completed. Check the full award record and current completion requirements before recording Telemark Level 2.
  • The Level 3 ISIA route is a separate progression with higher technical and teaching demands and supporting requirements; Level 2 is not that completed professional award.
