French Nordic Ski Instructor Trainee

A staged training status towards France's Nordic state diploma. The reviewed order links teaching practice to a valid training booklet and placement agreement, with narrower activity and terrain conditions than the completed diploma.

What This Qualification Covers

  • During the initial sensibilisation placement, the 2023 order limits the trainee to marked pistes and beginner, class 1 and class 2 learners, adults or children. Introductory biathlon sessions use laser or air rifles under the stated training scope.
  • The later application placement also limits teaching and related Nordic activities to marked pistes. The completed diploma's off-track Nordic touring and raid scope must not be copied onto a generic trainee label.
  • The actual stage matters: the trainee's valid livret de formation and current convention de stage identify the training position. A passed entry test or expired placement document is not sufficient evidence of current trainee teaching status.

Training and Progression

  • Placements take place in approved teaching centres, and the later application stage may also use an approved French Ski Federation training structure. The agreement identifies the trainee, responsible director and placement adviser, and is validated through the competent national service.
  • The order separates the initial placement, technical-capacity certification, first cycle and later application stage before the second cycle. Do not treat all trainees as having the same progress or automatically promote them to the full Nordic diploma.
  • The reviewed order links trainee practice to a valid agreement and a time-limited training booklet. Confirm the current stage, permitted activities, professional declaration and documentary validity with the responsible service before teaching.
