St Anton am Arlberg, commonly referred to as St Anton, is a world-renowned ski resort situated in the Tyrolean Alps in western Austria. With its rich history dating back to the early 20th century, St Anton has played a significant role in the development of alpine skiing and is often regarded as the cradle of modern skiing.
Nestled at an elevation of 1,304 meters (4,278 feet) above sea level, St Anton boasts a vast ski area with over 300 kilometers (186 miles) of groomed pistes, ranging from beginner-friendly slopes to challenging off-piste terrains, making it a perfect destination for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels. The resort is a part of the Ski Arlberg area, which connects to other neighboring resorts like Lech, Zürs, and Warth-Schröcken, collectively offering more than 340 kilometers (211 miles) of interconnected skiing. St Anton’s modern and efficient lift system provides easy access to the slopes, with 88 state-of-the-art lifts and cable cars. The resort is known for its reliable snow conditions, with an average annual snowfall of around 7 meters (23 feet), ensuring excellent skiing conditions throughout the winter season, which typically runs from early December to late April.
