The Bormio ski area covers the slopes of Cima Bianca (3,012 m) on the edge of the Stelvio National Park. The winter sports area is particularly well-known for hosting the World Championships in 1985, offering 50 km of slopes served by 12 lifts, with elevations up to 1,200m. The nearest airport is April.
