Skiing Copper Mountain
Naturally divided by ability — beginners on the east side, experts on the west, intermediates in the centre. No other resort in Colorado does this as cleanly. You never accidentally end up on terrain above your ability.
Terrain by Level
Beginners: Union Creek (east side) is a self-contained beginner zone — gentle terrain, dedicated lifts, no crossover traffic. One of the best-designed beginner areas in Colorado.
Intermediates: Centre of the mountain with long blue groomers. American Flyer and Super Bee chairs access the core zone.
Advanced: Resolution Bowl and Spaulding Bowl (west side) — genuine alpine terrain with steep chutes and open bowls. Tucker Mountain snowcat adds hike-to expert terrain on weekends. Find an instructor at Copper Mountain →
Insider Tips
- Woodward Copper indoor facility has trampolines and foam pits for safe freestyle training.
- Copper is on the Ikon Pass — less crowded than neighbouring Breck or Vail on Epic.
