Cross-country skiing · Australian Professional Snowsport Instructors

What This Qualification Covers

  • The three-day course covers beginner adults and children up to basic skating, alongside class handling, safety, technique, skier analysis and demonstrations.
  • Its Nordic skiing scope is distinct from the similarly numbered Alpine and Telemark awards.

FASS country rules

These are the active qualification conditions configured on FASS. They do not confirm that a person has met them or has permission to teach. Local professional and immigration requirements still apply.

No active FASS rule is recorded for these qualifications. This does not establish permission to teach or lack of recognition.

Training and Progression

  • Course entry requires current membership, the current teaching manual and all Nordic Level 1 exam units, or APSI-approved recognition of prior learning.
  • The separate one-day exam uses skiing and demonstration stations and group teaching scenarios. Candidates must have completed all Level 2 course units and hold current membership and the manual.
