What This Qualification Covers

  • The stated teaching progression runs from intermediate skiing through marathon and race skating. The course also introduces biathlon, Alpine turns and telemark technique within this Nordic programme.
  • Those introductory elements are not separate Alpine, Telemark or biathlon-coach certificates. The award also develops safe class handling, analysis and demonstrations.

FASS country rules

These are the active qualification conditions configured on FASS. They do not confirm that a person has met them or has permission to teach. Local professional and immigration requirements still apply.

No active FASS rule is recorded for these qualifications. This does not establish permission to teach or lack of recognition.

Training and Progression

  • The four-day course requires current membership, the current teaching manual and all Nordic Level 2 exam units, or APSI-approved recognition of prior learning.
  • A separate one-day exam follows completion of all Level 3 course units, assessing skiing, demonstrations and group teaching scenarios.

Check the awarding body's current syllabus for entry requirements, course dates, fees, and assessment rules.
