Snowboarding · Österreichischer Skischulverband and regional instructor associations
What This Qualification Covers
- Tyrol's applicant guidance lists Diplomsnowboardlehrer as qualified snowboard-teaching staff at a ski school. That teaching grade is distinct from permission to operate a school.
- The guidance permits temporary Alpine ski teaching when a Diplomschilehrer or Landesschilehrer is unavailable, and temporary cross-country teaching when a Diplomlanglauflehrer or Langlauflehrer is unavailable. These staffing exceptions do not mean the holder has been awarded those other qualifications.
- Tyrol's published guidance reserves leading and accompanying ski tours to separately qualified Schiführer, Snowboardführer or mountain-and-ski guides. This teaching award alone does not establish that guiding qualification.
- Check the actual province, issuing body and exact qualification on the certificate. Tyrol's rules must not be assumed to apply throughout Austria.
FASS country rules
These are the active qualification conditions configured on FASS. They do not confirm that a person has met them or has permission to teach. Local professional and immigration requirements still apply.
No active FASS rule is recorded for these qualifications. This does not establish permission to teach or lack of recognition.
Training and Progression
- Diplomsnowboardlehrer is its own examination in Tyrol's list, separate from Snowboardlehrer and Snowboardführer. The relevant provincial examination commission is distinct from the course provider; check the complete diploma and its actual issuing authority.
- For recognition of another province's or country's training in Tyrol, the district authority requests qualification, training, examination and practice evidence. Recognition, a separate guiding qualification and ski-school operation each require their own checks.
Check the awarding body's current syllabus for entry requirements, course dates, fees, and assessment rules.
