Alpine skiing · Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance
What This Qualification Covers
- The three-day course combines park etiquette and safety, lesson delivery, communication, switch skiing, boxes, basic airs, grabs and 180-degree spins.
- It is a ski terrain-park certification, distinct from CASI's snowboard Park Instructor awards. Skiing and teaching are both developed towards the certification standard.
FASS country rules
These are the active qualification conditions configured on FASS. They do not confirm that a person has met them or has permission to teach. Local professional and immigration requirements still apply.
No active FASS rule is recorded for these qualifications. This does not establish permission to teach or lack of recognition.
Training and Progression
- Candidates must be at least 14 and confident parallel skiers on intermediate terrain. Park experience is helpful; previous teaching or CSIA Level 1 is not stated as mandatory.
- The award provides a route to Snow Park Level 2 and is accepted within CSIA's published entry options for Alpine Level 2.
