BASI Snowboard UK Level 2

An optional snowboard teaching qualification building on BASI Level 1, with further work on lesson delivery, analysis, and learner progression. It is distinct from the full Snowboard Level 2 award.

What This Qualification Covers

  • The current qualification description covers helping more advanced learners refine their technique at non-mountain facilities or on appropriate mountain terrain. The precise teaching arrangement and destination conditions require their own checks.
  • The snowboard course develops Central Theme teaching, performance analysis, communication, lesson structure, and adaptation to learner needs. Its outcome text contains an inconsistent reference to parallel skiing; that phrase is not used here as evidence of snowboard scope.
  • This is the optional UK snowboard award. It is neither Ski UK Level 2 nor the full Snowboard Level 2 qualification, and those certificates should not be substituted for one another.

FASS country rules

These are the active qualification conditions configured on FASS. They do not confirm that a person has met them or has permission to teach. Local professional and immigration requirements still apply.

No active FASS rule is recorded for these qualifications. This does not establish permission to teach or lack of recognition.

Training and Progression

  • Entry requires BASI Snowboard Level 1. BASI's qualification overview says the UK award is optional and Level 1 instructors may progress directly to the full Level 2 route.
  • Check the actual award-completion record and current progression arrangements with BASI. A teaching-course attendance record or UK certificate does not by itself establish full Snowboard Level 2 completion.

Check the awarding body's current syllabus for entry requirements, course dates, fees, and assessment rules.
