What This Qualification Covers
- Training covers terrain and line selection, adapting to snow conditions, efficient freeride technique, risk awareness and teaching progressions for students moving into big-mountain riding.
- CASI's readiness criteria refer to black and double-black terrain in a resort setting and managing in-resort big-mountain terrain. The award does not establish a backcountry guide licence or unrestricted avalanche-terrain permission.
