Snowboarding · Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors
What This Qualification Covers
- The published focus is advanced snowboard teaching and an introduction to training instructors, extending beyond Level 2's intermediate teaching scope.
- The complete award combines Teaching, Riding and Instructor Training components. Completing a single module is not full Level 3 certification.
- Instructor-training development is distinct from a formal evaluator appointment. Check the holder's actual role and any specialist terrain qualifications separately.
FASS country rules
These are the active qualification conditions configured on FASS. They do not confirm that a person has met them or has permission to teach. Local professional and immigration requirements still apply.
No active FASS rule is recorded for these qualifications. This does not establish permission to teach or lack of recognition.
Training and Progression
- CASI Level 2 gives access to the Instructor Training module; Park Instructor 1 is additionally required before the Teaching and Riding modules. Candidates need fluency in the course language and comfort across terrain, including basic freestyle and park terrain.
- Each Teaching, Riding and Instructor Training module lasts two days, with a one-day exam for each component. Complete all required components of the modular award before describing yourself as fully Level 3 certified.
- Any ISIA Stamp or Card should be verified as its own issued credential; the numbered level alone does not prove one has been issued.
Check the awarding body's current syllabus for entry requirements, course dates, fees, and assessment rules.
