CASI Snowboard Level 1

CASI's introductory snowboard instructor certification prepares instructors to help first-time riders progress through the Novice Turn stage.

What This Qualification Covers

  • The published teaching range starts with beginner snowboarders and extends to novice turns. It should not be presented as an advanced-rider qualification.
  • This is a snowboard award, distinct from the CSIA ski-instructor pathway. Lessons must fit the instructor's assessed skills and the snow school's terrain and operating arrangements.

FASS country rules

These are the active qualification conditions configured on FASS. They do not confirm that a person has met them or has permission to teach. Local professional and immigration requirements still apply.

No active FASS rule is recorded for these qualifications. This does not establish permission to teach or lack of recognition.

Training and Progression

  • The three-day course includes ongoing riding and teaching evaluation. Entry requires age 14 on the first day, fluency in the course language and safe, comfortable riding on intermediate terrain.
  • Level 2 develops intermediate snowboard teaching. CASI also offers a separate Park Instructor 1 qualification for introducing freestyle; the Level 1 title should not be substituted for that specialist award.

Check the awarding body's current syllabus for entry requirements, course dates, fees, and assessment rules.
