Snowboarding · Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors
What This Qualification Covers
- The published scope extends through intermediate snowboard skills and terrain, building beyond the beginner-to-novice focus of Level 1.
- Park and carving qualifications are separate specialist awards. Holding Level 2 alone does not demonstrate completion of either specialist pathway.
FASS country rules
These are the active qualification conditions configured on FASS. They do not confirm that a person has met them or has permission to teach. Local professional and immigration requirements still apply.
No active FASS rule is recorded for these qualifications. This does not establish permission to teach or lack of recognition.
Training and Progression
- The four-day course requires current CASI Level 1, age 16 on the first day, fluency in the course language and riding appropriate to advanced terrain, including ungroomed slopes and carved turns on intermediate runs. Around 45 teaching hours is recommended, rather than mandatory.
- Level 3 is the next professional stage, with separate Teaching, Riding and Instructor Training components. Park Instructor 1 is required before its Teaching and Riding modules.
Check the awarding body's current syllabus for entry requirements, course dates, fees, and assessment rules.
