Snowboarding · Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors
What This Qualification Covers
- The course develops refined carving technique, skill-based teaching, lesson planning and communication. The explicit certification outcome is teaching carving to novice and intermediate students.
- CASI's introductory description also discusses intermediate-to-advanced technical development. That broader training description should not replace the narrower stated teaching outcome of the completed certificate.
FASS country rules
These are the active qualification conditions configured on FASS. They do not confirm that a person has met them or has permission to teach. Local professional and immigration requirements still apply.
No active FASS rule is recorded for these qualifications. This does not establish permission to teach or lack of recognition.
Training and Progression
- The three-day course requires current CASI Level 2, fluency in the course language, and comfortable, safe riding on intermediate and advanced terrain. Both riding and teaching evaluations must be passed.
- This is a standalone specialist qualification which may support preparation for Levels 3 and 4. CASI states that it is not a prerequisite for other CASI courses.
