What This Qualification Covers

  • The teaching focus is intermediate to advanced children, from age three through the teenage years. Training develops understanding of the whole child, safety, group management and suitable teaching activities.
  • The specialist level is distinct from the main Ski Level 2 or Level 3 award and does not itself establish a trainer appointment.

FASS country rules

These are the active qualification conditions configured on FASS. They do not confirm that a person has met them or has permission to teach. Local professional and immigration requirements still apply.

No active FASS rule is recorded for these qualifications. This does not establish permission to teach or lack of recognition.

Training and Progression

  • Entry requires associate or full membership, NZSIA Ski Level 2 and Children's Ski Teaching Level 1, or accepted equivalents.
  • The two-day course assesses e-learning and lesson presentations with the group. Its specialist focus builds on, rather than replaces, the instructor's main ski qualification.

Check the awarding body's current syllabus for entry requirements, course dates, fees, and assessment rules.
