Snowboarding · Snowboard Instructors of New Zealand — NZSIA Snowboard Division
What This Qualification Covers
- The three-day course addresses safety, group handling, child-development models, student profiles, movement patterns and suitable teaching approaches for children.
- It assesses children's teaching rather than riding. The certificate complements the holder's main snowboard qualification and does not create a separate advanced riding or trainer award.
FASS country rules
These are the active qualification conditions configured on FASS. They do not confirm that a person has met them or has permission to teach. Local professional and immigration requirements still apply.
No active FASS rule is recorded for these qualifications. This does not establish permission to teach or lack of recognition.
Training and Progression
- Entry requires associate or full membership, Snowboard Level 1 and completion of the Children's Certificate e-learning.
- Teaching is assessed during the course, including a final-day teaching session. SBINZ states that partial resits are not offered for this certification.
