Snowboarding · Snowboard Instructors of New Zealand — NZSIA Snowboard Division
What This Qualification Covers
- The stated teaching range includes intermediate carving and freestyle plus introductory off-piste riding. Course riding covers on-piste, off-piste and park environments, with the instruction still subject to the snow school's terrain and safety arrangements.
- Similar level names in other snowboard systems do not establish formal equivalence or an automatic right to teach in another country.
FASS country rules
These are the active qualification conditions configured on FASS. They do not confirm that a person has met them or has permission to teach. Local professional and immigration requirements still apply.
No active FASS rule is recorded for these qualifications. This does not establish permission to teach or lack of recognition.

- The programme has a four-day Ride Module and a four-day Teach Module. Candidates must pass both, including the Behaviour and Conduct elements, to complete the certification.
- Entry includes age 17, associate or full membership, conversational English, SBINZ Level 1 or an accepted foreign equivalent, and completion of Level 2 e-learning. Level 3 is the next main instructor certification.
