Ela's family introduced her to skiing when she was just 3 years old. She naturally progressed through her ski club and racing team alongside her friends. However, her real interest lay in teaching and skiing techniques rather than racing itself. At the age of 16, she decided to stop racing and gained valuable experience in ski teaching across Italy, Slovenia, and Austria. In addition to her passion for skiing, Ela is an enthusiastic academic with multiple master's degrees.
