Skiing in Syria is extremely limited, with the only established ski resort located on the Israeli-occupied side of Mount Hermon in the Golan Heights. This resort offers a small number of runs and is subject to the region's political sensitivities. Beyond this, there is some potential for ski-touring in the Anti-Lebanon mountains, particularly near the village of Bludan, but this is undeveloped.
The only developed ski area is the Mount Hermon ski resort, located in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, making it a politically sensitive area. The resort is the only one in Israel and offers views of Syria and Lebanon. There have been discussions about creating a joint Israeli-Syrian ski resort on Mount Hermon.
The ski season in Syria usually runs from January to March.
Conditions vary a lot by resort and altitude within that window — the resort pages below carry the snow report and lift status for each one.
