5 ski schools and 23 resorts listed
Skiing in India is primarily concentrated in the Himalayan regions of the northern states. While the sport is developing and gaining popularity, particularly for heliskiing, it is still hampered by a lack of infrastructure. Nevertheless, the great heights of the Himalayas offer excellent potential for long descents and a unique skiing experience.
Heliskiing is a popular and growing activity in locations like Gulmarg and Manali. India has been represented in the Winter Olympics for skiing. Aanchal Thakur won India's first international skiing medal.

The ski season in India usually runs from January to March.
Conditions vary a lot by resort and altitude within that window — the resort pages below carry the snow report and lift status for each one.
