Iran offers the best skiing in the Middle East, with two main mountain ranges, Alborz and Zagros, receiving significant snowfall. While many of the approximately 20 resorts are small, the country boasts high-altitude skiing with dry powder, especially in the larger resorts near Tehran.
Dizin was the first Iranian resort approved for international competitions. The high altitude of the resorts provides good quality, dry powder. Off-piste skiing is popular as locals tend to stay on-piste.

The ski season in Iran usually runs from November to May.
Conditions vary a lot by resort and altitude within that window — the resort pages below carry the snow report and lift status for each one.
