1 ski school and 8 resorts listed
Skiing in Lebanon is a popular sport with six well-maintained ski resorts located in the Mount Lebanon mountain range. The resorts are easily accessible from the capital city of Beirut, making day trips for skiing a common activity. The history of skiing in the country dates back to the early 20th century.
Lebanon is sometimes referred to as the 'Switzerland of the East' due to its mountainous terrain. A unique feature of skiing in Lebanon is the ability to ski in the mountains in the morning and swim in the Mediterranean Sea in the afternoon on the same day. Lebanese skiers have participated in the Winter Olympic Games since 1948.
The ski season in Lebanon usually runs from December to April.
Conditions vary a lot by resort and altitude within that window — the resort pages below carry the snow report and lift status for each one.
