Born and bred in Kendal, Mike grew up with skiing in his blood. He first skied at just three and a half, before moving into UK dry-slope racing from age 11. After several winter seasons in different resorts, Mike began teaching in the Portes du Soleil in 2010, first in Switzerland and now based in France. He lives in the area year-round, combining his love of skiing with mountain biking, walking, kayaking and ski touring. When he’s not on the slopes or trails, he’s probably thinking about them — or eating Percy Pigs.
