Perisher

Perisher is the largest ski resort in the Southern Hemisphere, spanning 1,245 hectares across four distinct areas. It boasts 47 lifts and features the unique Skitube underground railway, which delivers visitors directly into the heart of the resort.

The Skitube is an underground railway unique to Perisher that provides direct access to the resort, bypassing the need to drive in snowy conditions. This train service offers a convenient and stress-free way to arrive at the slopes.

Blue Cow is widely regarded as Perisher's best all-round area, particularly for intermediate skiers, offering longer runs, more pitch, and generally less crowding. Its varied terrain caters to a range of abilities, making it an excellent choice for a full day on the slopes.

Smiggin Holes and Perisher Valley offer dedicated beginner areas, providing gentle slopes and a safe environment for new skiers and snowboarders. The Skitube provides convenient access directly to these slopes, eliminating the need for driving in snowy conditions.

For advanced skiers, Mt. Perisher and Guthega offer the most challenging in-bounds skiing with steeper pitches and varied terrain. Those looking to refine their skills can find an instructor.
